Maggie-dress is a dress for all women!

This pattern allows you to choose the length of the hem and sleeves and the style of the collar. You’re able to knit a summer, winter or mohair Maggie!

MEASUREMENTS OF THE FINISHED DRESS:

Recommended positive ease approx. 4 cm.

Bust circumference: 88 (94, 106, 112, 118) (124, 130, 138, 145) (152, 159, 164, 170) cm

Length of the hem measured from the armpit: 90 cm or desired length.

Length of the sleeve (t-shirt length): 12 cm or desired length.

Length of the sleeve (⅔ length): 36 cm or desired length

Length of the sleeve (full length): 46 cm or desired length

Circumference of the sleeve: 40 (41, 42, 43, 44) (44, 45, 45, 47) (47, 48, 49, 50) cm

USAGE:

The top of the dress, before joining in the round requires approx.:

3 (3, 3, 3.5, 3.5) (3.5, 4, 4, 4) (4.5, 4.5, 5, 5) 50 g/skeins

High collar = approx. 30–40 g, less than one skein

T-shirt length sleeves = 1 x 50 g skein

⅔ length sleeves = approx. 3 skeins

Full length sleeves = 4 (4, 4, 4, 4) (4, 4, 4, 4.5) (4.5, 4.5, 4.5, 4.5) skeins

You will get approx. 10.5 (10, 10, 9.5, 9.5) (9, 9, 8.5, 8.5) (8, 8, 7.5, 7.5) cm of length to your hem with one skein of yarn.

I would suggest reserving around 8.5 (9, 9, 9.5, 9.5) (10, 10, 11, 11) (11.5, 11.5, 12, 12) 50 g / skeins for a 90 cm long hem.

 

For a full-length dress with a high collar and long sleeve I would recommend reserving at least:

17 (17, 17, 18, 18) (19, 19, 20, 21) (22, 22, 23, 24) 50 g / skeins or

850 (850, 850, 900, 900) (950, 950, 1000, 1050) (1100, 1100, 1150, 1200) g DK-strength yarn.

YARN:

SUMMER DRESS: Hjertegarn Cotton 8/8 – 50 g / 80 m OR Viking Garn Linus – 50 g / 95 m

WINTER DRESS: Viking Garn Eco Highland Wool – 50 g / 110 m OR Hjertegarn Nature Merino Wool – 50 g / 108 m

MOHAIR DRESS: Hjertegarn Armonia – 50 g / 200 m + Hjertegarn Brushed Baby Alpaca – 25 g / 200 m

Mohair dress is knitted with 2 yarns held together

NEEDLES: 4 mm circular needles for body and sleeves, 3 mm circular needles for collar, 3 mm double pointed needles 

GAUGE: 20 sts x 22-24 rows = 10 x 10 cm

OTHER MATERIALS: Tapestry needle, stitch markers and scrap yarn / extra cable.
