Romance lace shorts are the perfect addition to every woman’s knitted wardrobe! By altering the length of the pant legs, you’re able to knit yourself a pair of beautiful lace pants!

SIZES: 1–18 

DESIRED MEASUREMENTS OF THE SHORTS:

Recommended positive ease 2-8 cm or desired amount

Waist circumference: 80 (84, 88, 92, 96) (100, 104, 108, 112) (116, 120, 124, 128) (132, 136, 140, 144) 148 cm

Length of the pant leg measured from the crotch:14 cm or desired length

YARN: Knitting for Olive Merino 250 m / 50 g. You can use any other yarn as long as you meet the gauge.  

YARN USAGE: 2 (2, 2, 2, 3) (3, 3, 3, 3) (3, 4, 4, 4) (4, 4, 4, 4) 5 skein or 70 (80, 90, 100, 108) (116, 124, 132, 140) (148, 156, 162, 170) (178, 186, 192, 200) 208 g

If you want the legs to be longer or if you knit more increases to the back, it might affect the yarn usage slightly.

NEEDLES: 3 mm (80 cm) circular needle for the waist, 3 mm (40/60 cm) circular needle for the pant legs, 3 mm double pointed needles for the casing for the elastic band.

GAUGE: 25 sts x 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch 

OTHER MATERIALS: Tapestry needle, scrap yarn / extra cable, stitch markers and elastic band (according to your waist measurement) or silk ribbon (according to your waist measurement + 60 cm for tying the ribbon into a bow).

 

If you are going to use elastic band, you will also be needing some sewing thread for sewing the ends together.
