Little black summer dress for every woman!

This Sianna dress is easy to modify for different sizes and body shapes.

MEASURMENTS OF THE FINISHED DRESS:

recommended positiv ease: 10 cm.

Bust circumference: 80 (85, 90, 95, 100) (105, 110, 115, 120) (125, 130, 135, 140) (145, 150) cm.

Length of the hem measured from the start: 90 cm or wanted.

YARN: Hjertegarn All Seasons 50 g/ 170 m OR some other similar Fingering/DK-weight yarn.

USAGE:

6 (6, 6, 7, 7) (8, 8, 9, 9) (10, 10, 11, 11) (12, 12) skeins or

270 (280, 300, 320, 350) (380, 400, 430, 450) (480, 500, 530, 550) (580, 600) g

-with 1 skein you can knit pockets and the casing for the elastic band

-with 1 skein you get (length):

18 (17, 17, 16, 15) (14, 13, 12, 12) (11, 11, 10, 10) (9, 9) cm

NEEDLES: 3 mm DPN´s for the casing of the elastic band, 3.5 mm DPN´s for the pockets, 3.5 mm (80cm) circular needles for the body

GAUGE: 26 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm with 3.5 mm needles and stockinette stitch

YOU ALSO NEED: Crochet hook, Tapestry needle, sewing thread and 4 cm elastic band for your bust size and some silk/lace ribbon if wanted.

 

WORKFLOW

Sianna is knitted from top down starting from the casing for the rubber band.

The casing is knitted to a tube shape with dpn to its desired length, after which you pick the stitches to a 3,5mm circular needle with crochet hook. First round you create a needed amount of decreases, so you get to your own bust circumference, after which you continue knitting in the round stockinette stitch.

Create a casing for a band slightly below the bust to give shape for the dress and after that you make a  preparation round for the pockets, or you can skip the pockets completely. Rest of the hem is knitted stockinette to its desired length and finished with i-cord finish.
